Tortola Airport or Tortola Ferry?
Finding the right flight to the Tortola airport is always the first step in planning my vacation. I've searched high and low and I'm sorry to say there's not a whole lot of options.
I'm going to try to help you find the quickest, easiest, and least expensive Caribbean airline. Along with that, I'm going to show you a few alternatives.
Many of you that are reading this are probably considering a vacation here. A flight to Tortola can be a tricky proposition. I'm always trying to find the cheapest flights possible, without sacrificing to much of my time. It's hard to have one without the other.
The good news is that I'm going to give you the skinny on how to get here, without having to check 14 travel search engines. Don't waste your time scouring the web, because options are limited. I've lined out all of the travel options to save you hours of time searching for that flight to paradise.
Budget traveler
If you're like me and always on a budget, getting to Tortola can be difficult on the ol' wallet. Luckily I've sniffed out the deals. The secret to saving a few bucks is to skip the Tortola airport and take the ferry. You'll lose a few minutes, but gain some great pictures and save some cash.
Mid-priced option
When time is precious, but my budget still has to be under consideration, this is the option I choose. I try to find the path of least resistance to the Tortola airport. There are only a few Caribbean airliners that come here, which makes flight options fairly inflexible.
Sparing no expense

An out of the ordinary option is available
By far the coolest (if not the wettest) way to get here is the seaplane. If you're the adventurous type this could be the option for you.
One of my goals anytime I vacation is to get a new and exciting experience out of my trip. Taking the seaplane to Tortola always fits the bill for me! The picture really says it all.
